More consultation on Dunedin school restructure

04:53 am on 23 February 2011

Education Minister Anne Tolley has announced another consultation round for a proposed restructure of primary schools in South Dunedin.

A 20% drop in the number of students enrolled in South Dunedin primary schools between 2000 and 2010 has prompted the Ministry of Education to propose the changes.

Mrs Tolley says the merger or closure options up for discussion relate to five schools and the aim is to make changes from the start of next year.

Submissions on the revised proposals close at the end of March.
