Three vacancies on Fonterra board

16:33 pm on 18 August 2014

Fonterra has opened nominations for its annual elections. There are three vacancies to fill on the dairy co-operative's board.

Farmer directors John Monaghan and David MacLeod are due to retire by rotation at the end of their three-year terms and will have to stand again if they want to continue on the board.

The third vacancy stems from the retirement of farmer director Jim van der Poel.

Elections would also be held for 22 positions on Fonterra's farmer watchdog body, the Shareholders Council, and two postions on the Directors' Remuneration Committee.

The deadline for nominations is 5 September.
