Police have charged a man with assaulting men and women under the guise of healing people of cancer.
Tokoroa police charged the 62-year-old man with indecent assault after receiving a complaint from a member of the public.
Police said men and women were sexually assaulted in New Zealand, Australia, the Cook Islands and Tahiti.
They said there may be further victims who were yet to come forward and encouraged anyone with information to call105, the new police non-emergency number, or call Detective Sergeant Mihi Owen on 07 885 0100.
They said any information provided to the police would be treated in confidence.
The man is due to appear in the Tokoroa District Court later this month.
