A woman who went missing after her car was stuck at the Manawatū river mouth between Waitārere Beach and Foxton Beach has been found.
Police said the 32-year-old had last been seen about 3.30pm on Thursday walking into the forest north of the river mouth, wearing a red jacket.
RNZ has seen a photo on social media of a car submerged in water, and a witness told RNZ at the time they could see a woman sitting on the river bank.
Police confirmed the woman was located safely on Friday.
