An Auckland pharmacist has been found guilty of professional misconduct for the incorrect dispensing of drugs.
Devinda Polonowita owned his own community pharamacy and has appeared before the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal.
The charge relates to incidents between 2013 and 2017 and include dispensing methadone to patients without a correct prescription, failing to record details and dispensing clozapine to someone who was not an active patient.
The pharmacist admitted the charge.
He has been censured, fined $6000 and ordered to pay costs of $36,000.
Conditions have also been imposed.
