Police in Nauru have closed an investigation into the alleged rape of a Somali woman on the island, citing a lack of evidence.

The government has released a detailed police report into the incident, including the 26-year-old woman's name.
According to the report, the woman said she was raped and physically assaulted by two men in a cave in the Ewa district on 21 August.
The woman said she was unable to identify them because they had covered their faces with T-shirts, however she said they spoke Nauruan.
She said it took the Nauruan police four hours to arrive after she reported the incident.
The investigation concluded there was insufficient medical and physical evidence to proceed any further, with the police report noting a medical examination found no evidence of sexual activity nor evidence of bruising to the head.
The report added the caves where the attack allegedly took place could not be located, and the woman's clothes were not torn as she had claimed.
The ABC described the release of the woman's identify - in the police file, which was attached to a press release distributed today by email - as an extraordinary breach of privacy.
A spokesperson for Mercer PR, which sent the emails on behalf of the Nauruan government, said its client and the Nauruan police force had authorised the release.
