The body of a man was found inside a vehicle yesterday, down a cliff in the Upper Buller Gorge.

The vehicle was found about 100 metres from the Lyell Creek culvert.
Police believe the man is a 71-year-old who was reported missing from Motueka but formal identification is still to take place.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
