A Tongan man has been charged with murder in relation to the killing of a Chinese businessman in central Nuku'alofa in 2012.
Meanwhile Radio Tonga reports that there have been no charges yet in a homicide investigation following the killing of an Asian man, whose unconscious body was found in his shop late last Thursday.
In another high profile case, the solicitor general's office reports charges against two Chinese for possession of forged Tongan passports have been dropped.
An official says amendments to the Passport Act under which the two had been charged had not been fully enacted.
