The prime minister of the Cook Islands will visit New Zealand for three days from Sunday.
The visit comes ahead of next month's Pacific Islands Forum summit in Auckland and will involve a series of discussions with New Zealand cabinet ministers.
The New Zealand prime minister, John Key, says he and Mr Puna will discuss economic development and tourism links between the two countries.
Mr Puna's was originally scheduled to meet with Mr Key last February but this was postponed due the Canterbury earthquake.
