Police in American Samoa are taking measures to stop fighting between Chinese and Vietnamese fishermen.

The fighting started Friday night and continued on Saturday, with six men taken to hospital with multiple wounds.

Police have taken about 30 Vietnamese crew members to the Tafuna Correctional Facility for protection.

An officer says they are not taking any chances on more violence erupting between the ethnic groups.
