Four hospitalised after incident at Cable Bay in Far North

Four people have been hospitalised after getting into difficulty in the water in the Far North.

The incident was reported at Cable Bay in the Far North early Saturday afternoon.

St John Ambulance said four patients were taken to Kaitaia Hospital, one in a serious condition and three in a moderate condition.

It appeared that four or five people went into the water to help one person initially requiring help, police said.
