A day after announcing his impending retirement from test cricket the record breaking Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan says that his greatest moment in the sport came in the shorter form of the game.

The 38-year-old, who's the leading wicket-taker, will make his final appearance in a Test match against India later this month.

He's taken 792 wickets in 132 Tests and 515 wickets in 337 one-dayers and says his greatest achievement in cricket came in the one day form of the game, when Sri Lanka won the World Cup in 1996.
