Lions, tigers and a leopard could be put down after the financial collapse of the Kamo Wildlife Sanctuary.

The private zoo in Whangārei is home to 15 big cats - that are all old - in their late teens and early 20s.

The site had only just reopened in 2021 after being closed down for eight years but has now been put into liquidation.
