Police are on the hunt for a second person in relation to an incident in Christchurch overnight.
Police said they were called to a residential property on Hanmer Street, Linwood about 11pm on Monday after two people allegedly entered the property.
A 22-year-old man was arrested and will appear in Christchurch District Court on Tuesday, facing a range of charges including common assault, threatening to kill, burglary with a weapon, and possession for supply of ecstasy.
"Enquiries to locate a second person are ongoing," a police spokesperson said.
Police have been at the Linwood property overnight and a scene examination will be carried out on Tuesday.
