The Prime Minister of Tuvalu has called for world leaders to reach a "bold, far-sighted, global pact to address climate change, without fear or favour."
Enele Sopoaga wants the agreement reached at the 21st Conference of the Parties, or COP21, in Paris this December.
He says everyone must do their utmost to reduce the production of greenhouse gases and to help those who suffer from the impacts of climate change.
Mr Sopoaga told the People and Planet First Conference at the Vatican that the Paris Agreement must deliver real and substantial commitments from all nations to address climate change.
