Police shut Auckland's southwestern motorway near Onehunga due to what they described as an unfolding incident on Monday afternoon.
State Highway 20 heading west at the Onehunga Harbour Road on-ramp was closed.
Police said they had concerns for a person's wellbeing.
The incident was resolved by about 3pm.
