QT, the first albatross of the season in Dunedin, has taken to the skies -- bound for South America.

The young bird has been the Royal Cam chick of this season.

The Royal Cam project, a collaboration between the Royal Albatross Centre and Cornell University in New York, live-steams a chosen chick continuously until they spread their wings for their long flight.
