The New Zealand pace bowler Kyle Mills wants to make up for his prolonged absence with some good performances at the Twenty20 cricket World Cup in the West Indies.
He's been undergoing intensive rehabilitation following shoulder and knee tendon surgery and is now training in Brisbane with the 11 squad members not involved in this weekend's Indian Premier League playoffs.
Mills, Jacob Oram, Jesse Ryder, Ian Butler and Aaron Redmond have all missed a lot of cricket with assorted injuries and there'll be a final decision on their fitness on Friday.
The Black Caps' first match is against Sri Lanka on Guyana on May 1st and Mills says after coming close several times it's about time they won a big tournament.
