The Tactix welcomed back star shooter Aliyah Dunn in a consumate 71-47 netball win over the Steel in Invercargill.

The ANZ Premiership leaders dominated from the outset to extend their advantage over the Pulse at the top of the standings, while the Steel remain last in the six-time competition, with nine losses from 11 matches.

It was the biggest win in the history of the Tactix, who powered 18-12 clear in the first quarter and dominated each quarter by a similar scoreline to pull away throughout the contest.

A highlight for the Christchurch-based side was the return from injury of former Silver Ferns shooter Dunn, who landed all 18 of her shots at goal.

Dunn played the full second and third quarters, and part of the fourth, in a promising display which leaves a headache for coach Marianne Delaney-Hoshek given the form this season of regular goal shoot Ellie Bird.

Bird still had enough court time to sink 33 of her 34 shots while goal attack Te Paea Selby-Rickit landed 15 from 18.

Delaney-Hoshek made full use of her bench and employed Greer Sinclair for a period at centre, shifting Kimiora Poi moving into wing attack for a period.

The Tactix will host the third-placed Mystics next week while the Steel face another challenging test against the second-placed Pulse.
