Contact tracing blue tooth powered "Covid Card" trial to begin

A new blue tooth powered "CovidCard" for contact tracing is set to be trialed in Rotorua. The credit card-sized device would be worn around the neck when in areas such as public transport, workplaces, bars, restaurants and gyms. Information from the cards locations are recorded for 21 days. Louise Ternouth spoke to Head of the Computer Science Department at Auckland University of Technology, Professor Dave Parry about the new device, starting with his initial thoughts.
