The International Olympic Committee has issued a statement backing Games sponsors Coca-Cola and McDonald's after president Jacques Rogge was quoted as saying there was a question mark over their sponsorship due to obesity concerns.
McDonald's has four restaurants at London's Olympic Park. One is its biggest in the world.
The company extended its backing of the Games in January by signing as a sponsor for another eight years, Reuters reports.
Coca-Cola has been sponsoring the Olympics since 1928 and earlier this year signed for another eight years.
