The Ministry of Social Development has suspended approval for a Waikato-based Maori social service organisation to provide care or services.
The suspension of the Raukura Waikato Social Services Trust as a child and family support service and a community service is for 60 days.
Minister for Social Development, Anne Tolley, says a number of issues have been raised with the ministry in relation to the trust.
The Ministry said its decision was made after rigourous consideration backed by quarterly approval reviews, information provided by the trust and independent advice.
It had contracted the trust to provide $1.7 million worth of services for Child, Youth and Family.
The Ministry said it would continue to discuss matters with the agency and await its response.
