The latest date for the next election in Fiji is the 22nd of November, the Fijian Elections Office says.
The Office made the clarification after the chairperson of the Electoral Commission said the election was about three months away.
Suresh Chandra made the statement after the signing of the terms of reference for the Multinational Observer Group.
In the 2014 election there were 92 observers from 15 countries.
Fiji's acting prime minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said observers could come in early and also observe the process before the election.
An election date is yet to be set.
