13:41 pm on 24 September 2011

The New Zealand Warriors face the Storm in Melbourne on Saturday night for a place in the NRL grand final against Manly.

The ABC reports Melbourne has won all five of its grand final qualifying matches since entering the competition in 1998.

Despite three preliminary final matches, the Warriors have made only one grand final appearance in their history.

The Sea Eagles dispatched the Broncos 26-14 in the first preliminary final at the Sydney Football Stadium on Friday night.

Crowds for this weekend's play-offs are lower in comparison to recent years.
