The Christchurch City Council has approved two multi-million dollar cycleway projects, to start later in the year.
Its Infrastructure, Transport and Environment Committee approved revised plans for the Papanui route and a section of the Shag Rock cycleway.
Chairman Phil Clearwater said community feedback had a major impact, with 80 changes made to the original proposals
The two routes are part of the government's $20 million funding of Christchurch's cycleways during the next three years.
Construction is expected to be finished by next year.
