Call centre services company, Unity4, is expanding its operation in New Zealand with the goal of creating more than 150 jobs.

The company employs more than 500 people in the United Kingdom and Australia, and provides both contact centre technology and outsourcing using home-based agents.

Unity4 says it's has already hired more than 30 people in New Zealand and expects that to grow to more than 150 over the next twelve months.

Chief executive Dan Turner says the travel agency, Flight Centre, has already purchased the company's technology.

He says the operator is also finalising negotiations with three other local companies who want to use the New Zealand agents.

Mr Turner says Unity4 hopes to also expand into the United States in the near future.
