The Kiwis superstar Benji Marshall has been dumped to the bench for Wests Tigers' big match on Friday night against the National Rugby League competition leaders South Sydney.
The 28-year-old Marshall has struggled with injury for the last few weeks, and he freely admits he is in a major form slump which has contributed in part to the Tigers occupying last place in the NRL for the first time in their history.
Marshall is still struggling to recover from a nagging turf toe injury which severely restricts his toe strength.
