David Dallas is reviewing his pessimistic outlook on life after learning one of his songs is on the soundtrack of an Adam Sandler movie produced by LeBron James.
The song, Runnin', which Dallas included on his 2013 album features in Hustle, a basketball themed drama which includes NBA stars such as Kenny Smith, Seth Curry, Anthony Edwards, Trae Young and Boban Marjanović.
The south Auckland artist announced on Instagram that he was "a pessimistic individual at the best of times", so there were many things he could not imagine going his way.
"Top of that list is a song me & my bros made 9 years ago appearing in a movie starring Adam Sandler & produced by Lebron James - about a struggling NBA scout, which also features real NBA players. Today this actually happened. Unreal."
The movie has been released to some theatres and is also available on Netflix.

The movie single was a hit track from Dallas' album Falling into Place for which he won Best Male Solo Artist and Best Urban Hip Hop Album at the Tuis in 2014.
