Drones equipped with thermal imaging did not find missing British tramper Stephanie Simpson overnight.
The search for the 32 year old resumed at 8am with 16 LandSAR searchers, including two dog teams, combing the Pyke and Fantail Creek areas of Mount Aspiring National Park.
Simpson, who is on a working holiday from Essex in the UK, was reported missing on Monday after she failed to turn up to work.
Police deployed thermal imaging drones overnight in the search area but were unable to find her.
They appealed for anyone who may have spoken to or seen Simpson to contact them.
Simpson's parents were reported to be flying to New Zealand to help with the search.
