An Indonesian human rights researcher says militia-style attacks on West Papuans are on the rise in the country.

A researcher with Human Rights Watch, Andreas Harsono, says tensions are high after recent escalating violence in Papua's highlands.
In December, rebels with the West Papua Liberation Army massacred 16 Indonesian construction workers in Nduga regency.
