The Jayke Hopa Story is a touching insight into the world of a young boy whose lack of sight is no barrier to his love of life - devoted friends included. The documentary was made by Sophie Meszaros (14), Shelly-Ann Cochrane (14) and Lily Bendy (14) from Putaruru College in Tokoroa.
Their film won the Wireless Award for Powerful Storytelling in The Outlook for Someday challenge, which tasks young filmmakers 24 and under to make a short film about sustainability. See the rest of the winning entries here.
