A school with a culture of cop it and shut up is how a former student has described Dilworth School in Auckland.
Neil Harding has been relating his experience of historical abuse suffered at the hands of some fellow students and staff to the Royal Commission into Abuse in Care.
Harding, who is 55, went to the Anglican boarding school in Auckland in 1977 at the age of 11.
A number of men are currently before the courts charged with indecent assault relating to historical abuse at the school.
Harding told the commission that while in a way he doesn't consider himself an old boy of the school because he left after just two years, he does feel the school missed out on a good student and an alumni with a good future.
