Fiji's national carrier, Air Pacific, will be making weekly flights to Honiara starting on November 2nd.

Solomon Airlines says the flight will originate from Nadi, flying to Honiara via Port Vila in Vanuatu and returning the same route.

Solomon Radio reports the new Air Pacific flights will make Tuesdays a busy day at the Honiara international terminal with three flights coming in, only an hour apart.

Solomon Airlines says the first flight by Air Pacific, since it stopped flying into Honiara in the mid 1980s, is expected to arrive at lunchtime on November second.
