Loe and behold - he's back with the Breakers

The Breakers basketball side have re-signed centre Rob Loe on a one year deal, after the Tall Black cut short his two year deal with the Cairns Taipans.

Loe spent two seasons with the Breakers before heading to Cairns but the Taipans, who finished bottom of the ANBL last season, have agreed to release him early due to personal reasons.

The Breakers finished a disappointing sixth in the eight team competition and have just seven players contracted for 2019-2020.

Breakers General Manager Dillon Boucher is pleased Loe is back in Auckland.

"Rob's a fantastic player with a high IQ and will be a significant addition on the court, but it's the intangible qualities - like his leadership skills that will be where we see some of his biggest impact on our team" said Boucher.

"We were disappointed to lose him last season, as we'd hoped Rob would be a key part of the Breakers for many years to come. His return this season provides a substantial boost to the club."
