Emergency services are still at the scene of a vehicle crash on Whiriwhiri Rd, at Otaua in Waikato.
One person has been taken to Middlemore Hopsital with serious injuries.
Police say road diversions are in place, after Whiriwhiri Rd was completely closed off between Robertson Road and Holmes Road.
Police have urged motorists to avoid the area and take alternative routes if possible.
