Police are asking for help finding a Palmerston North man missing since before Christmas.
Philip Lucas, 69, was last seen at 8.30am on Christmas Eve at Palmerston North Hospital.
His family told police it was unusual he would not have been in touch over the holiday period.
"We believe at the time of his last sighting he did not have any money or his bank cards, so his ability to move about is limited," said Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thompson.
Lucas was described as Caucasian, medium build, with receding grey hair, collar-length hair at the back, and a moustache.
He was wearing glasses, brown dress shoes, a blue jersey, long cream-coloured pants and a blue/black rain jacket.
"We want to hear from anyone that has seen Philip or anyone matching the description in the area surrounding the hospital," said Thompson.
"We would also ask people that own properties in the area near Palmerston North Hospital that may not have been occupied over this period to check for any signs that Philip may have been there.
"This includes rental properties, commercial premises and building sites."
