All Blacks injury toll grows

The Hurricanes captain and All Blacks loose forward Ardie Savea will be sidelined for up to two months after suffering knee ligament injury in the weekend's golden point loss to the Crusaders at the weekend.

Savea tore a medial collateral ligament in his left knee just after halftime but continued playing till mid-way through the second half.

He will miss the rest of Super Rugby Aotearoa and the start of the joint trans-Tasman competition.

The Crusaders also have injury problems with fellow All Blacks Joe Moody and Jack Goodhue who are awaiting scan results on foot and knee injuries repsectively.

All Black captain Sam Cane is also out of action have had surgery on a pectoral tear he suffered playing against the Blues last week.
