In three months, French Polynesia will go to the polls to elect a new territorial assembly for another five-year term, and the parties are gradually positioning themselves for the contest.
Since 2013, the political landscape has changed, most notably with a fresh demise of the Tahoeraa Huiraatira party headed by Gaston Flosse.
The Tahoeraa hopes to regain its dominance but it is unclear whether Flosse will be allowed to stand
