A Fiji judge has found a New Zealand-based Fijian lawyer guilty of contempt of court.
Fijivillage reported Rajendra Chaudhry, a son of former Fiji prime minister Mahendra Chaudhry, has been ordered to pay $US4,691 as a cost to the applicant in the case, the attorney-general, within 30 days.
The report said he made Facebook posts last year that defamed the Fiji judicial system, the chief justice, chief registrar and Fijian democracy.
Chaudhry will be sentenced on 25 April.
