Match-fixing scandal not affecting tour: Hesson

The New Zealand cricket Coach Mike Hesson says he's not letting the match-fixing scandal detract from preparations for the Black Cap's tour of the West Indies.

The team departs for the three-Test tour on Saturday, and Hesson says two warm up games over the next ten days will help the New Zealanders adapt to Caribbean conditions.

He says the ball won't come onto the bat like the Black Caps are used to which will make scoring quick runs difficult.

Hesson says the New Zealand bowlers won't be able to run through the opposition and are prepared for a patient battle of attrition.

He says leg spinner Ish Sodhi is one Black Cap who should revel on West Indian wickets where he'll find bounce and turn.
