New Zealand have made a strong start at netball's World Championships with a resounding win over Fiji on Monday.

All 12 members of the squad contributed to the 80-25 victory in Singapore.

Fiji, ranked fifth in the world, were made to look average by a sharp New Zealand side.

Coach Ruth Aitken opted for an experienced line-up to start with, but made wholesale changes after the side was up 36-17 at halftime.

It didn't affect the scoreline, with Anna Thomson and Paula Griffin combining well in the shooting circle.

In the end, Fiji could not keep up with the pace.

New Zealand's next pool match is against Wales on Tuesday.
