A law firm is in talks with more than 90 potential leaky building claimants as it attempts to pull together a class action suit against cladding manufacturer James Hardie.

Parker and Associates filed proceedings against James Hardie in the High Court on 10 August.
The law firm said the claim would be based on an assertion that James Hardie was negligent in its design, manufacture and supply of the Harditex cladding system.
Earlier the law firm said James Hardie had denied any fault or failings with its product in the past.
Spokesperson Dan Parker said close to 100 potential claimants from Wellington, Auckland, the Bay of Plenty and the West Coast have contacted them.
He said the idea had been well received.
"Obviously it's a very saddening time to know that your main asset is affected like that but the feedback that we've had has been very supportive of the fact that
there is an ability for them to seek redress and to explore their legal options. They're very positive about that."
In an earlier statement Parker and Associates said building owners needed to move quickly, because on 31 December there would be a bar on claims based on acts or omissions that occurred more than 15 years ago.
