Spring snow in Tekapo in the South Island High Country on Tuesday hit at the worst time for sheep farmers whose stock have just started lambing.
Emily Murray of Glenmore Station in the Mackenzie Basin, says most properties surrounding Lake Tekapo had snow.
She says the snow is still 15cm thick on the ground.
