The American Samoa House of Representatives has unanimously approved plans to raise business licence fees.

Presently the annual licence is $US25 but under the planned new law there will be a scaled increase.
Costs will go to a minimum of $150 but the operators of pool halls will have to pay $150 per table and alcohol importers $1500.
