Another French Polynesian assembly member has decided to quit the once dominant anti-independence Tahoeraa Huiraatira party of Gaston Flosse.
According to Tahiti Nui TV, Juliette Nupure has left the party without giving a reason.
This came just days after Patricia Amaru left the Tahoeraa, saying she was going because her work for the party had not been recognised.
Both have said they would join the bloc led by president Edouard Fritch.
This brings to three the number of Tahoeraa politicians to leave within the past month.
The latest defections have culled the number of Tahoeraa members to about a third of the 38 which had been chosen at the last election.
