Professional domestic sport is back on under alert level 2 - but the stands will be empty.
Rules banning mass gatherings will still apply, so fans will have to head to their couches.
Sport and Recreation minister Grant Robertson made the announcement today as we got a better look at what Level 2 would look like. And while it's good news for fans of Super Rugby and premiership netball, which have already confirmed they will be back, the future of sport - especially for women - is a lot more grim.
Ahead of the announcement the Epidemic Response Committee heard that women will be the biggest losers from this pandemic if the government doesn't intervene. Felicity Reid reports.
