A person has died in a single-car crash in Auckland this evening.
Police said the crash was reported around 6.15pm on Riverlea Road, in Whenuapai, about 25km northwest of downtown Auckland.
The road remained closed while the Serious Crash Unit examined the scene and diversions were in place.
Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
