Workers of a now defunct casino resort on Tinian in the Northern Marianas are demanding damages totaling $US3.4 million from their former employer.
The 15 former workers allege the owners of Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino lied to them that they were legally authorised to work.
Each of the 15 former employees is seeking $US200,000 in punitive damages, for a total of $US3 million.
Each is also demanding compensatory damages for lost earnings and employee benefits in different amounts ranging from $US16,438 to $US48,230 for a total amount of about $US440,000 $US442,461.
