Black Caps restricted to 120 in Florida T20

09:52 am on 23 May 2010

The New Zealand cricketers have made 120 for seven in their 20 overs of the opening Twenty20 cricket match with Sri Lanka in Florida.

The Black Caps won the toss and chose to bat but Sri Lanka's bowlers had a good day with the ball on a low, slow pitch.

So Sri Lanka need 121 for victory on a low, slow pitch in the historic match, the first ever full international to be played in the United States.

Sri Lanka are 21 for two after five overs.

Brendon McCullum is back behind the stumps after a knee injury to wicketkeeper Gareth Hopkins forced him to put the gloves on again.

McCullum's been focusing on his batting of late and says his future's as a specialist batsman for the Black Caps only.

The two teams are playing each other twice in two days in a bid to boost cricket's profile in America.
