Airport taxi dispute over

06:08 am on 13 December 2013

A dispute between taxi drivers and Auckland International Airport Ltd has been resolved.

The differences were resolved late on Thursday night, after protests and a partial hunger strike by the some drivers.

Auckland International Airport Ltd will trial a new system that allows taxi drivers to re-enter the main rank after a short trip.

This is expected to cut their waiting time for another job in half.

The airport company will also make improvements to their sunshelter, drinking water and toilet facilities.
